Contemporary Bathroom Remodel – Seattle Modern Simplicity
Color Palette
This Seattle bathroom renovation embraces a sleek, contemporary color palette centered around matte charcoal tiles, crisp white walls, and warm walnut wood finishes. The monochromatic base is accented with black matte fixtures, adding striking contrast and a modern edge. This combination reflects the minimalist elegance often favored in Pacific Northwest design—clean, grounded, and timeless.
Materials and Textures
Natural textures elevate the bathroom’s modern aesthetic. The vanity’s walnut wood grain brings organic warmth and balance to the sharp lines of the porcelain tile flooring and glass shower enclosure. Large-format ceramic wall tiles line the shower for a clean, seamless look, while the hexagonal mosaic niche adds subtle geometric interest and texture.
Fixtures and Features
Function meets design with a floating vanity framed in matte black steel, providing open storage below and keeping the visual weight light. A frameless glass shower door gives the space a spacious, airy feel, while the minimalist white sink basin and black single-lever faucet underscore the room’s clean-lined sophistication. Overhead, a modern three-light vanity fixture in chrome and glass offers practical yet stylish illumination.
Lighting
The lighting plan balances form and function, with the vanity light delivering targeted brightness, and the room’s neutral surfaces reflecting light to maximize brightness even in Seattle’s cloudier months. The mirror’s sleek metal trim subtly echoes the fixture finishes, tying the visual elements together cohesively.
